About the Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund
The Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund has been set up due to the sudden and sad death of Kelly Jackson. Kelly was born with Spina Bifida so was in a wheelchair for most of her life.
Kelly did a lot of charity work in particular with Oxford PHAB, this was the charity that Kelly was most passionate about. They provide social activities for people with and without disabilities and this is what the Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund wish to continue.
We have a committee of 13 who are dedicated to continue Kelly’s selfless work and raise money for Oxford Phab. In addition to this, we aim to raise money to buy an all-purpose wheelchair access caravan in Weymouth.
We will be based in and around Oxford as this is where are committee is based. Our plan is to run regular fundraising events as well as having two larger events in the Summer and Winter.
Our charities aim is to purchase a fully adapted caravan in Weymouth, for wheelchair access, this will be available for families to use and give them a well-earned break in a safe environment. We are also supporting young children in the oxford area who are suffering from long term illness, we are providing them with family days out. In doing all this we will continue all of Kelly’s amazing charity work. We have at least one event every month, please look at our events page to see future events.

There is a committee of 13 who are dedicated to continuing Kelly’s selfless work and providing facilities for disabled people in the Oxfordshire area. The trustees also aim to buy an all-purpose wheelchair access caravan in Weymouth.
The committee who are all dedicated family members based locally in Oxford, each member has a different skillset and role to guide and grow the charity. Additionally, there are 3 sub-committees to give individual focus to social, fundraising and distribution of donations.
The trustees have already been to Weymouth and the maintenance subcommittee has spoken about plans, designs and layout for a wheelchair accessible caravan. The third subcommittee is focusing on individual cases to help underprivileged families who have young children with similar disabilities and physical additional needs that Kelly had when younger. The trustees will also be staging a number of charity events throughout the year utilising a lot of the charities that Kelly was associated with. Events will range from charity race nights, Bingo and cabaret evenings. The trustees have already been inundated with separate charities wanting to help. For example, in 2020 there are already seven events planned depending on covid restrictions. In 2021 we are planning on 2 major events one in the summer and one in the winter. Whilst there is a large committee it is the trustees who make all final decisions.

They provide social activities for people with and without disabilities and this is what the Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund wish to continue, along with supporting local families who have become vulnerable due to a disability or impairment of an adult /child, and finally, we hope to purchase a disability caravan along with equipment, this enabling those families who find it hard to get away ease in knowing this caravan will be equipped to meet their needs.
